Dr Catherine Ferrier is Scientific Collaborator at the University of Geneva. A graduate of the Universities of Grenoble (France) and Geneva (Switzerland), she studied European and international affairs before focusing her research and teaching on environmental policies, incl. water, climate change, biodiversity and economic instruments. In 2007 she gained her PhD in social sciences from the University of Geneva. Her thesis focuses on carbon markets legal and institutional frameworks in the context of climate change policies.
Since its creation in 2008, she manages the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Corporate Social Responsibility at the University of Geneva and develops the programme launching new activities: CSR Summer Course, CSR Lunches and an Alumni association.
She trains and lectures on environmental policies in Masters and advanced education programmes at various institutions including University of Geneva, University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland, Université de Versailles St Quentin en Yvelines (France) and WWF Switzerland.
